Rev. Clark Hausman (aka “Pastor Clark”) arrived at Torrington First Assembly (TFA) in 2013 as an Associate Pastor and later transitioned to the Lead Pastor role in 2017. Alongside his wife, Rhonda, he has served in ministry for over 30 years in many different roles in both church and Christian school settings.
Pastor Clark & Rhonda both graduated from Central Bible College in 1988, where they met their freshmen year and married after their sophomore year, at the ripe old age of 19! After 17 years of marriage (yes, you read that right!), they were blessed with the birth of their first child, Hannah, followed by her brother, Nathan, three years later. Pastor Clark can’t imagine life without Jesus or his family: his heart is forever grateful to God for both!
In addition to pastoral ministry, Rhonda (B.A. in Christian Education) and Pastor Clark are both passionate about Christian education. Through the years, Rhonda has taught students in preschool through third grade, and Pastor Clark has had the privilege of teaching students in every grade from 5th through 12th. He currently teaches the junior/senior level Bible class at Torrington Christian Academy and is passionate about training the minds of the next generation for Christ.
When not “on the job”, he enjoys such things as fishing, woodworking, and sports (especially basketball). Having grown up in Allentown, PA, he is a die-hard fan of the Philadelphia Eagles (Super Bowl LII Champions!) and Flyers (hockey).
Ask him his life goal and he’ll respond, “My life’s goal?…to win more people to Christ than Billy Graham….okay, realistically, it’s to leave the imprint of Jesus on the lives of others. When I come to the end of this journey called life, I want it to be said of me by my family, my friends, and even my enemies, ‘he…served the purpose of God in his own generation’ (Acts 13:36).”
