TFA STUDENT MINISTRY

At Torrington First Assembly (TFA) Student Ministry, we desire to:

• Engage hearts with God’s word.
• Empower identity and purpose through relationship with Jesus.
• Create a life-giving and fun atmosphere to grow in relationship with one another.
• Provide opportunities to love and serve one another, the local community, and outreach missions across the globe.

We welcome all Middle & High School Students to join us each Thursday evening from 6:30-7:30pm (6-8pm over the summer) for Youth Group at TFA. Please email us at info@tfact.org with any questions you may have and to get added to our notifications list so you don’t miss any upcoming special events, cancellations, etc.

PARENTS

At TFA your student matters and so do parents. We believe in helping bring teenagers together to encounter God and make new friends as they grow in their faith and discover how God can use them to make an impact in the world. Email us at info@tfact.org for parent resources or to see how TFA can help strengthen your teenager.

The programs here are designed to assist parents in raising-up their children to know Jesus as their personal Savior!

The EDGE student ministries is an important part of the ministries of First Assembly of God in Torrington, CT.  It is a place where young people can come and connect with other young people their own age, while at the same time being poured into with the word of God and having a true encounter with Jesus Christ. It is our goal to prepare our students to live bold, outspoken lives for Christ. We are here to help equip them for the daily challenges all teens face, while encouraging them to be salt and light wherever they go, so they can begin making a positive impact on everyone they meet.

At the EDGE, we start out with some time to hang out and reconnect in the gym located in the lower level of the church.  In the gym students can play basketball, volleyball, kick a soccer ball around or spend some time talking with us or one of their friends about their week.  We then head up to the sanctuary for worship and a message geared toward teens to help them to make the best decisions possible during this pivotal point in their lives. We want each of our students to have a real life altering encounter with God which would equip them to go into the world and make it a better place, while winning others for Christ.
